The First 72 Hours are the Most Critical
Studies by such places as Stanford University have found that the first 72 hours are a critical and crucial time when you have the potential to seize the moment and lay good foundations for a new start.

You need to be connected with housing, counseling, employment, medical and other resources as quickly as possible.  This is at a time when there may also be temptations and the potential to become overwhelmed or confused by the many choices available.

We hope that the 72-hour checklists on this site provide a simple road map to follow that will increase the likelihood of a smoother transition as you put together your fresh start.  The links on the site also provide contact information to obtain assistance with housing, job training, medical needs and with other services.  If you make connections, you will become aware of resources available to make your transition easier!
